This is my video about sustainability for Concept Development. All information about the video is in the video description.

3/13 Public Relation Director. Another TED TALK!

On Wednesday, the class talked about public relation directors. Before this discussion, I had no clue as to what these people were. Yep, 0% knowledge. After we discussed, I learned they were the people who speak publicly and promote a designer's work. At times, I cannot discuss my own work during a presentation. However, I can tell one person and they might understand. Having public relation directors is important because many designers might not be successful at selling their work without them. (Plays dramatic music)
Next up is another TED TALK. This time, the speaker was Ken Robinson. He was really hilarious and kept grabbing my attention throughout the whole video despite my short attention spam. He talked about how the education system erases a person's creativity as they grow up. I agree as people always talked about not being creative. Thank god I kept my free spirit.

3/11 AIGA

On Monday in Concept Development class, we discussed about why Apple company was so successful. Throughout the years, Apple costumers have kept returning because they are purchasing a lifestyle and a dependance from Apple. We have grown to the point where Apple products are the "must have devices" of the century and practically everyone has an Apple related item. I, myself, bought the latest Ipod Nano. I agree, I was purchasing this lifestyle that everyone had.
Afterwards, we watched some clips about AIGA. It sounds wonderful to join. More importantly, I want to head to New York and see the works that people involved in AIGA have made at the open exhibitions. It is a great way to talk with others and their work looks very inspiring. Wish I could go really bad.

3/6 The road to the final starts!

Last Wednesday in Concept Development class, we started working on our final projects. Although it was a work day, it was an extremely boring day compared to other days of class where the class is involved in group activities. My idea for the movie is to show the bad effects of littering and what human waste has done to the beautiful nature that once existed. I hate going to my friends house and see trash covering a lawn. It hurts to see how people don't care about the world they live in and simply have become lazy to not appreciate their privilege. I want this clip to have a global effect on people, like  "The Power of Ten" video had, but I do not expect to win awards for it.

3/4 The three shot story! The power of 10!!!

On Monday in Concept Development class, the class posted up their 3-shot story. This story was a story composed of 3 unrelated images from magazines that each student had to compose. Our professor, Jimmy Moss, made the class try to decode what each story meant. Some of these stories were hilariously decoded involving an awkward love story or a hilarious situation that makes the story a comedy. This exercise helped give me ideas for the final project in this class.
After the three shot story, Jimmy showed the class an award winning film titled "The Power of Ten." The creative use of the powers of 10 by showing distances was an interesting concept. This got me thinking of how a simple idea of the powers of 10 could have a global impact. Thinking about the final project, I need to come up with how to turn a simple idea into a global impact too.

2/27 3-shot story

On Wednesday in Concept Development class, our professor assigned the class to illustrate a story in 3 drawings. We were grouped into teams of three to come up with a story and competed to see who had the best story as a class. My team drew our 3-shot story based on a woman dropping her iphone, which was inspired by our professor who always mentioned how he dropped his iphone 4 screen.

In my team, we learned to brainstorm an idea quickly and communicate so that we could complete the task successfully within the given time. This task challenged out thinking process to see how fast we could think of an idea together and work as a team to complete the task.

2/25 This is a What

On Monday in concept development class, our professor introduced this game that enhanced our listening and communicating skills called "This is a what." It was hilarious to watch the pattern as everyone would repeat the cycle until a complete rotation was finished. Everyone in the class participated in this game with the professor starting the game. I felt this game was successful because the first time, the class did not make any mistakes and we make a full rotation.

After the game, we talked about creative briefs. These are the guidelines that design companies follow to make sure they know all the basic information for a project including the who, what, when, where, why, and how. Following a brief helps me stay on topic for my project without forgetting what the main purpose of each project is. Without a brief to know the objectives for each project, I would not know where to start for my projects.
